Parish Societies
There are a number of different societies and committees operating in Ferns with links to Ferns Parish. Some of these are listed below:
Society of St. Vincent de Paul
The goal of St. Vincent de Paul is to fight poverty in all its forms through the practical assistance to people in need.
They offer direct, personal assistance that is non-judgemental and based on the need of the individual or family.
In addition they provide a wide range of services for vulnerable people through their local offices, shops, resource centres, housing, daycare and holiday schemes amongst other things.

Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary is a lay apostolic association of Catholics who, with the sanction of the Church and under the powerful leadership of Mary Immaculate, Mediatrix of All Graces, serve the Church and their neighbour on a voluntary basis in about 170 countries. With the approval and support of the Popes and a great many Bishops, Priests and Religious, as well as the prayers and efforts of legionaries, the Legion, by the grace of God, has grown into a worldwide organisation with several million members.

St. Joseph’s Young Priests Society
St Joseph’s Young Priests Society exists to help students on their journey to priesthood. The society fosters vocations to the priesthood and religious life. It assists students for the priesthood both financially and by prayer. It promotes the vocation of the laity and fosters a greater understanding and love of the Eucharist and Mass.
